Fics like Egoist

This story takes place in an alternate universe (AU) where the original characters are now human. The basic gist is that all the animals are humans who were sold to the farm as children, and rebelled against Mr. Jones once they were older. (Animal Farm, Human/Slavery AU) After 5 years of exile, Snowball returns to the farm after learning about the cruelties of Napoleon's dictatorship from the comrades who fled the place. However, there are still unresolved feelings between Snowball and Napoleon once they see each other again, standing toe to toe on the ground of the barn, as the sun sets beside them and their absurdity. Their feelings and fond memories will bleed through their words and actions in this confrontation, but Snowball has every right to be angry at the lad who exiled him.
