Fics like tomorrow's just a fabrication of our dreams

Ozen doesn’t know what she expected there to be within the worn-down ritual site. Every so often there is something in the indecipherable designs that stirs up a vague curiosity but the spiritual art of civilizations past is not her wheelhouse. She wonders if, perhaps, it is Bondrewd’s, though his interest lies primarily in the here-and-now and in the future. His deep fascination with others and with science doesn’t quite encompass the people and the understandings of civilizations past unless it can help progress future generations. He speaks always of tomorrow, of coming eras, of the advancement of mankind, and of hopes for a new dawn. There is a new dawn coming as this part of the two-millennia cycle nears its conclusion—and he will not just live to see it, but help usher it in when it’s ready to arrive. He admits openly that he isn’t quite sure what it all means yet but that he’ll have it sorted out soon enough. Ozen is inclined to believe him.
