Fics like the trees don't talk

“This usually works.” Loki frowned, his gaze flickering back to the man’s face, eyes still brown in color. “Oh, you know, performance issues, not uncommon. One out of five…” The man went on an obnoxious ramble, but Loki’s attention shifted back down to his chest. There appeared to be some kind of contraption built into it, its outline harsh against the soft fabric of his shirt. Loki lifted the scepter again, Stark's amused grin still in place, and simply pressed it down next to whatever the thing embedded in his chest was. The power of the scepter set its roots deep within his mind, brown receded to black, became blue and it was done. It had happened so fast, Starks cocky smile didn’t even have time to falter. “Seems like you know how to hit the right spot after all.”
