Sapnap is in love with his best friend. George's best friend is in love with him. Sapnap is alive. George... Well, George is a ghost. ***** “Ah, yes, because you’re so terrifying.” Sapnap mocks him with a smile of his own. Despite his outward show of confidence, Sapnap finds himself twisting that ring again. It’s a comfort on his finger, just slightly heavy and cool from the chill of the weather. A tiny bit of himself feels bad that he just took it where he found it rather than looking for a rightful owner or something, but it just feels so right on his hand. Like it was meant to be there. Sapnap doesn’t really believe in things like that, but if he did he might even call it fate. Dream would probably laugh at him if he ever said that, though. So he won’t. George just gives him another shrug. “I guess that depends on what you find menacing.” They reach the Southern gate and George pauses in place. Sapnap takes a step toward it before twisting to George again. His lips curl up and he waves his hand. “I’ll catch you later, George.” “I’m sure you will.” George waves back to him. Creases sink around his cheeks and eyes as he smiles. He’s got a gorgeous smile.
