Fics like "i'm sorry" won't reach anyone, i hope one day it will

“Another chance. The one year before your entire life truly went to shit - I’ll give you that. Don’t want it? Kill yourself again. I won’t bother a second time. But I’m telling you, if you want to live, if you want to find out what it would be like if you managed to find a way to breathe for once, then,” The elevator dings. The door opens wide, like it’s ready to swallow whatever’s thrown at it. “Then live, Gakushu. This time it’ll be different.” The man pushes Gakushu into the open. He’s blinded by the pure brightness of his surroundings, but he manages to get one more question out. “What do you mean it’ll be different? You really think my father will change? That I can change?” He’s shouting, because he feels so far away, but winces when he feels the voice of the man so close by. It’s tickling the edge of his ear, almost like a melancholic summer song that got lost by the ocean waves. “Of course I do. But that’s not what I meant.” The white devours Gakushu. “You’ll see, dear Asano!” Gakushu wakes up. (Gakushu gets one more chance - in the form of tentacles, vampires, and a lot more happiness than he ever thought he could have).
