Fics like One Hundred Excuses (To Touch You)

Watson wakes up with the delightful memory of a night with Holmes in his arms. But Holmes seems to be avoiding the discussion that he surely knows must come next. Lestrade’s company kept me from dwelling on the nagging thought of how I was to endure day after day without acknowledgement from Holmes of the night we’d shared. With a heavy heart I admitted to myself that it was not even the basest expression of lust that would haunt my memories forever after. The thought that I might never again kiss the spot between his shoulder blades drove a deep despair into my heart and I knew I must hide my feelings until the dreadful ache of missing him began to fade.
