Fics like stand by me

Mobius never had a Pokémon of his own. He’d grown up around them, but he’d never really formed a bond. It was for the best, he thought. It seemed cruel to keep them cooped up indoors for long hours at a time, without the opportunity for rest or play. “What’s your name, kiddo?” he asked, mildly confused by the Eevee currently sitting in his chair. In which Mobius makes a new friend.
