Fics like this is the last time i'm asking you this

“The city’s safe now, with you protecting it,” Kai said, looking over the lights and listens to the sounds that were once foreign to him. “Ninjago is safe. Plus, Nya is really settling into being a samurai and Mister Borg will be able to give you whatever you need. And…Wu-sensei and your mom and dad…they’ll be able to teach you so much.” Lloyd’s fists tightened around his sleeves. He stared down at his lap. “You’re leaving.” Kai bit at the inside of his cheek. Saying ‘yes’ would make him feel so much more guilty, he knew. -- Or, Kai strikes out on his own with no plan after his family falls apart following the defeat of the Overlord. But protecting Nya, Lloyd, and his brothers had once been his whole world, so when he finds himself alone, he struggles to find a reason to go on. This gets him some risky coping mechanisms and a lot of violent people breathing down his neck, while his family worries about him. Otherwise known as, Kai's spiral after Zane's death and the fallout of the team, but I make it worse for him. Feat. plot between s3-4 Currently discontinued.
