Minho squeezes the child’s fingers who are in his hold. “I trust you.” “Why?” Chan demands. “Why do you trust me?” Minho doesn’t seem to know what to answer. He looks at Chan’s face like he’s in pain. “Because I care about you.” “Why?” Chan asks again. Why does he care about him? Why does he trust him? Why does he believe in him? Minho doesn’t know him. Chan is just a foster kid after all. Or, Lee Minho is guilt tripped into fostering a young, abused child. Things don’t go as well, or maybe as bad, as thought.
