Fics like Through the winters of times

Being an eternal being costs you dearly. You witness the fall of empires, civilizations, and loved ones. Of course, you find joy in the small things and learn to enjoy everything while you can, but everything is ephemeral. Everything, until one day you find the one thing, the one person, that was supposed to be long dead but isn't. When Mieczyslaw finds an intriguing soldier a couple of years after WWII, he hopes the man will die peacefully, but years go by and he finds himself meeting him again, and again. As someone who had seen it all, he wasn't prepared to be so enthralled by an amnesiac soldier with a metal arm and PTSD. From the prompt "Stiles is something with a long life span and is traveling the world after WW2. He keeps running into this strange, handsome man who seems to have some memory problem because while Stiles remembers him, he doesn’t remember Stiles. "
