Fics like Today, I’m Going to Get Fired!

He slouches back in his chair and closes his eyes, exhaling slowly as he begins to repeat the mantra that’s kept him going ever since he had finally managed to get off that awful elevator and gotten convinced to keep working (because he needed this job, right?) What could this mantra be? To keep preserving? That it’ll all be worth it in the end? That you’ve experienced much worse than boredom at an office job by this point? Oh, no, not any of those things, nothing like that. ‘Today, I’m going to get fired!!’ - - - After being convinced to continue working at the company, the protagonist decides that he really, really wants to quit, but everything keeps going wrong when he tries, so what better solution is there than to fuck up so badly the company HAS to get rid of him?? It’s a foolproof plan!
