Fics like your touch is all i need (and it feels like coming home)

“Y’know,” Gon said below a whisper, as if he were hesitant to even say it. “After we moved in together, I thought you didn’t like us touching anymore.” Killua’s breath hitched. Had he really believed that? “Even though we still work well together and share tons of jokes, you’ve been… distant.” Gon sighed quietly, though he didn’t show signs of stopping. Killua let him continue as a lump began to rise higher in his throat. He hadn’t realized that he was being so obvious. “At first, I didn’t notice it; figured we just had to get back in the groove of things.” Gon chuckled dryly, almost as if he were laughing at his previous beliefs. “But then I’d see you being affectionate towards Alluka, Nanika, Kurapika, and even Leorio, and I figured that maybe I was the issue. That I messed up so badly all those years ago that you couldn’t bear to even touch me.” (or, after years without physical touch, a gentle head scratch makes hidden feelings bubble to the surface).
