Fics like Through A Glass Darkly

"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known - 1 Corinthians 13:12 Two souls entwine in a dance unlike any other, with steps like scars in the fabric of reality. A meeting that will challenge the foundations of both of their peoples. Miev is a crafted courtesan turned trophy assassin to a Rogue Trader, the true genius that runs his dynasty. Verithrax is an Archon of unchallenged power and terrifying martial prowess, facing an eternity of agonising boredom. Both are yoked to a diminished life, doomed to fates they cannot escape, determined by forces far greater than they. What begins as a gambit - she to increase the affluence of her master and he to stave off his endless ennui - becomes something more. Games of wit and word, of lies and lust, of power and promise unleash something that neither have ever encountered before. Something they will do anything to pursue, to have, to claim, to protect. Even unto ruin. - OR - A Drukhari and a Human go on a journey of self-discovery together and what waits them at the other end may be a pretty Big Deal. If they survive long enough.
