Fics like Run Cried the Crawling

“Piltover?” Vi asks, looking back at Ekko who just shrugs. She takes a step closer to Caitlyn, invading her space. “Let me ask you something– Caitlyn–was it?” Her voice is so close to her face. “You got a last name?” Caitlyn feels her stomach drop at the question. “Well, actually…this might sound mad–” Caitlyn starts. She turns away from Vi, in need of some reprieve. She rubs her brow with the tips of her fingers, as if she could conjure up a better answer. “I don’t know my last name. I was found wandering around when I was about nine years old,” Caitlyn says sheepishly. Vi nods, as if she understood. “And, uh, before that– before you were nine?” She brings her finger to her chin. “Look, I know I must sound ridiculous, but I genuinely don’t remember. I have– very few memories of my past.” Caitlyn looks down at her hands clasped in front of her now. Her thumbs rub together. Vi looks back at Ekko again, huffing a small laugh. “Well I do have one clue, I suppose. And that is Piltover." OR: The Cait/Vi Anastasia inspired AU
