Fics like Animal Shifter au

Animal Shifter Au, (A good version/Oneshot) So, I’ve seen a few bat shifter Maverick fanfic’s and I like how they show Mav suffering in the future but what if the shifter au took a different turn. What if, instead of being tossed into the dark abyss of horrors that is the american foster system, a certain snake call-signed pilots dreams came true and he got to raise his best friends son as his own. Instead of being horribly maimed and his shifter form suffering from a horribly debilitating injury, we get a happy little child growing up in a safe and loving family, never fighting with the ghost of a dead man for attention and recognition as his own person. Just how different would this Maverick be, the one who was loved and raised by good people.
