Fics like In Her Element

A fighter pilot meet-cute between a rebel princess and a taciturn knight. ~~~~~~~~~ The year is 2025. Three hundred years ago, at the pinnacle of its endless war against Nabatea, the nation of Agartha annihilated itself and its eternal foe in a maelstrom of nuclear fire. Now, there are new great nations. When Edelgard, ninth-in-line princess of the Adrestian Empire was twelve years old, the seven great houses of Adrestia conspired to depose the Emperor and seize control of the throne for themselves. They succeeded. Now Edelgard, princess-in-exile of Adrestia is twenty-seven years old, an elite pilot, and the anonymously registered owner of the Black Eagles private military company, contracted to Faerghus. Ostensibly, her Eagles fly to protect and enforce the Kingdom’s many interests. In reality, she and her friends prepare for a private war; a war waged against neither kings nor nations, but rather the shadowy organization that tugs on the strings behind them. The remnants of Agartha owe her a debt of blood, and the Flame Emperor intends to collect.
