Fics like Planet of the Apes - Luca: The Gentle Giant

That cursed Siamese flu, a virus that slowly destroyed humanity better than cancer. Advanced civilization fell to its knees and everything turned into dust and ruins, nature was taking back its land. Once a huge monkey colony suffered losses in a bloody war, humans drove the monkeys out, destroyed their home, but it is a species that does not give up. After the war, César was looking for a home for his large family, and chance arranged for his faithful gorilla to find a log cabin by sheer chance. Emily has always been alone, growing up in the forest, she has been able to take care of herself for many years, but when she is surrounded by dozens of furry bodies, she is in trouble and has to make a deal with the monkey king whether she wants to or not. The mistrust is mutual, yet Luca is fascinated and drawn to a human woman with hair the color of the sun, whom his own heart compels him to protect. Will they find their way to each other? Will a man accept a gorilla as his protector, and can Emily even live as an outcast in the monkey village?
