Fics like syrup sweet and lonesome

"I'm glad you came tonight," Nancy told Steve, "You seem really happy with Eddie. It's nice. You deserve it." Steve felt something like jealousy bite in his stomach at her words, gas and acid stinging his insides. He wished that happiness she saw was more than a façade. Because it was true. Eddie had given him a gift, encouraging him to come to the party tonight. Eddie had made him happier than he had been in a long time. ~ Or, Steve Harrington is a waiter, Eddie Munson is a bartender, and they're going to pretend to be together for just one dinner. Steve definingly won't fall in love. He won't.
