Fics like It Was Never Really Me

Bob is released from prison after ten long years. Many things have changed, but he is determined to start over and begin life on a good foot. After sinister circumstances, he finds himself in an interesting position that almost seems scripted in his favor...but who is he to look a gift horse in the mouth? Meanwhile, Shane Henderson is struggling to stay in his younger siblings good graces. They used to be so close, but now they can't seem to stand being in the same room as him. As he traverses this unsteady path, he reunites with someone from his past...someone he never expected to see again. This story contains subtle clues, world-connecting lore, twists, love, real estate, cults, stalking, food trucks, angry short people, sacrifices to a hungry and unforgiving eldritch god, and more fun things! -- This is my first published fic and I'm nervous but super excited to share it! It hasn't been beta-read, so please feel free to comment if something is off! I will do my best to keep it a fun (and legible) read for everyone! It is an extension of my comic which can be found here: https://ozzox3.carrd.co/#mainstory
