Fics like Rage of the Concubine

“That stupid weak empress, always coming out with child for every loss of mine”—the Korean concubine pushes a servant away as they try to calm her down—“she should be groveling at my feet! Why have the spirits forsaken me but graced blessings for Ruyi?!" Jia turns to her table of jewelry, flinging her necklaces and hair ornaments all over her chambers, before stomping down the wooden platforms of her Manchu shoes on a pair of earrings until the gold surrounding its ruby stones cracks into pieces. Gifts that pale in beauty and value to those the Qianlong Emperor bestows to his main wife. (Or, Noble Consort Jia having another fit of anger over Empress Ruyi's luck after a failed attempt to hurt the Step-Empress.)
