Fics like Let's Discuss the Ethics of Cloning

"Hot, humid air. It sticks to their skin like a wet blanket. Beads of sweat start to form on their neck as they stare up at the sky. They lay on their back, hard gravel underneath them. Dark clouds are looming above them in the sky, almost circling in on them. Like they’re the center that the clouds need to get to. Everything feels far away. Fuzzy. Disconnected." - Yuu thought they were dead when they first got to Twisted Wonderland, which went against everything their parents had taught them: there is no afterlife. Once you die, you decay. But after being stuck for three years on a jungle island filled with clones of ancient dinosaurs that are trying to kill them, Yuu welcomed the idea of an afterlife if only for peace of mind. While they learned that they are very much still alive, Yuu can't help but view this new world as a sort of heaven. They're free from that island and the life they had before that. They gained so many friends, and hell, the Phantoms had nothing on a velociraptor pack. That is, until a Mirror sucks them into a replica of Yuu's worst nightmare.
