Fics like Last Christmas (I Gave You My Heart)

A year ago on Christmas Eve, Kylo Ren (in truth, Ben Solo) left Rey a note in their London flat saying he had to run out for a quick work assignment but would be back. He failed to do so. After four months of waiting, Rey - who has serious abandonment issues - decides it's time to pick up the shattered pieces of her life and move on. What happens when Ben and Rey unexpectedly run into each other the following December at a New York City gala? Can what was broken be rebuilt? And what secrets will be revealed? UPDATE DEC. 24, 2024 -- I got to thinking about this story from a year ago. In particular about the characters and where they would be today. I was inspired to write a couple of new chapters to satisfy my own curiosity. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I've enjoyed revisiting the tale. UPDATE DEC. 5, 2025 -- Did I say a couple of new chapters? I mean a handful ... three year to date, and another couple to go. If you've hung with me this far on this story, I appreciate you. I'm having fun with it, and I hope you will, too! UPDATE FEB. 2, 2026 -- Done and done! Thanks for being on this journey with me. It was fun!
