Fics like it's time to meet the muppets

On the couch in the corner of the room, a pile of blankets says, “They used to let me be canonically nonbinary...” Rizzo and Kermit exchange a look. “I know, buddy,” says Rizzo. “Hey-- keep your chin up!” says Kermit, trying to sound encouraging. “You never know. Maybe one day, an executive will ask, ‘Why does the weird little bird-thing have to be a man?’” “Yeah, have hope, Gonzo,” says Yolanda. She smacks her gum again. “Maybe you can be their 'first nonbinary character'. I bet they’ll get a GLAAD award for it.” (or, The Muppets (2015) has just started filming season 1B. none of its characters are happy about the tone shift)
