Fics like We Will Survive

When Ari Trevelyan (M.Tav) wakes with a new wriggling bestie in his head, it's really a lot less alarming than it should be. He's used to constantly feeling like he's on the verge of losing all control and dying dramatically in a gory explosion. When neither your past OR your future feel safe from the fire in your veins, you tend to turn into a self-destructive flirt with no real direction. Life loses its charms. Lucky for Ari, Astarion has enough charm to fell mountains and redirect rivers. And lucky for Astarion, a beautiful, self-destructive flirt with no real direction AND powerful magic is exactly the type of person he wants wrapped around his finger. Or...the rest of him, too? Why does Astarion like this delightfully deadly, deranged wild shape so much? And why does it feel like his wild shape's peculiar eyes can see right through him? Like their agonies echo each other in the dark? In which two survivors find each other and begin to heal. Both M.Tav and Astarion POV. READ IF YOU: wanted to drape Tav's cloak over Astarion's shaking shoulders, enjoy deeply emotional writing, and love consent/emotional intimacy in your smut ♡
