Finishing the washing up calms her for a moment, and she reminds herself why she wants this. It’s not the apathy that appeals, it’s the freedom of being completely objectified. There are no expectations to live up to nor assumptions to defy. She trusts him enough to know that respect doesn’t need to be earned anymore. It’s a given.
