Fics like Captain, Oh My- Not My Captain!

“There was an emergency evac mission called by S.H.I.E.L.D and they called Tony, Nat, Sam, Buck, and myself,” Clint explained. “Thor is in Asgard doing… something, Bruce is across the world for a world health crisis, Rhodes is with the UN, and Steve stayed behind to keep an eye on the tower and watch a rising threat in the city underbelly. If he’s down, now’s not the time to be alone in a battle.” “Before I do anything,” Peter said, hushed, “I need you all to understand that I’d do what you asked if I could.” “What’s happening?” Mr. Stark asked, immediately worried. Other voices chorused after, a blend of professional concern. Peter swallowed hard before firing a web to swing into the fray. “Cap’s going after civilians. I’m out of time.”
