Fics like Taken

Movement rustles clothing. A weight settles in Ghost's hand. The sound of a safety switching off. Then a gunshot. "Ghost!?" It all lasted only a handful of heartbeats. Ghost shifts his arm so that the gun in his hand is now aimed at Makarov. "How interesting", Makarov says, the gleam in his eyes demented and maniacal. A flick of the wrist. A tensing of the hand. A squeeze of the trigger. Another shot rings out and the body tied to the chair goes dead weight, blood staining the forehead and down the face of the burlap bag. There's shouting somewhere in the background. Gaz and Price shocked and angry. Ghost knows what they're thinking, he's just not sure how they both could be so stupid to not see what is so plain to him. His gaze stays locked with Makarov's, a moment between them stretching onward. Two monsters, two beasts of blood and darkness standing toe to toe. Ghost's gun once again aimed at Makarov's head. "Ah. And here I was worried you had gone soft."
