Fics like The Beast in My Husband's Bed

Mr Kwon hesitates, but keeps Jihoon’s gaze. “You have made no secret that you are not inclined to the marriage mart, nor the gossip of high society,” he says finally, haltingly. “I - As you must have deduced by now, I myself am not keen to marry. As both of our mothers are pressuring us to marry, I thought, perhaps...” He trails off, but Jihoon can catch his gist. “Perhaps we could come to a understanding,” he finishes, and Mr Kwon gives nod of agreement. -- Persistent wallflower of going on 6 seasons, Lee Jihoon has long been dismissed by the ton as just short of unmarriageable - so imagine his shock when he receives a marriage proposal from Kwon Soonyoung, of all people. Surely the only son of the Viscount of Namyangju had much better prospects than a new money, country bumpkin all the way from Busan? However, in the weeks following their marriage, Jihoon comes to realise that a deep, dark secret plagues his new husband... Written for the Soonhoon Summer Breeze Ficfest 2023.
