Fics like Stars

They’d all taken their own time to process what happened to them. To hit their breaking point so that they could start rebuilding. Hanna was tough. She had managed to work her way through the pain of her losses the fastest. Nik and Ella had each other to lean on. Kady had Asha and her dad. It... helped. A little bit, at least. But Ezra... for more than two years now, he had been ignoring the pain. Smiling. Laughing. Being strong for the rest of them. Kady knew it. She watched it every day. She heard it late at night, curled up against Ezra’s chest and listening to him talk in his sleep. But she let him take his own time, to find the place where he could break - it was the very least he was owed at this point. For whatever reason, the time seemed to have arrived.
