Fics like come back. even as a shadow, even as a dream.

Dreams don’t happen in the TVA. Or maybe they do for other people. They do have that nightmare department a few wings away. Dreams have never happened for Mobius, though. It’s a concept he likes to think about sometimes, the idea of closing his eyes and seeing something else behind them while the mind turns off for a few hours to reset. Loki never talked about his dreams, but used to talk about the concept of dreaming to Mobius, describing how it feels in detail. Mobius likes details, he’s always been detail-oriented, so he likes to hear about how it feels like quicksand when you run in a dream and how your brain invents its own set of rules for reality each time you close your eyes. It’s a fun concept. Whenever Mobius leaves the TVA, takes a trip down to his timeline and avoids the street he lives on, he stays in a run-down hotel, just so that he could say that he did. He dreams that night. He wishes he didn’t.
