Fics like katabasis / anabasis

When academic rivals Jaemin and Donghyuck wake an ancient, mythological force in a basement, it makes them an offer: their most desperate wish made true, just like magic. But when they discover the impossibly high price, the two of them are forced into an uneasy, tense alliance as they scramble to undo the damage before it’s too late. It doesn’t help that Donghyuck finds him increasingly drawn to Jaemin in ways he’s not ready to admit. — or: when myth comes alive, down you must go, on a katabasis of your own.
