Fics like Pater Familias

From their first meeting the Mute had appointed himself Diarmuid's protector, and Diarmuid had declared the Mute his friend. They were inseparable, and Ciarán saw no reason why the Mute should also not share some of his fondest moment's of Diarmuid's life. After dinner, as they cleaned the table and the plates, Ciarán said, "Have I ever told you about the time when Diarmuid got into the communion bread?" The Mute shook his head and gave Diarmuid a gentle nudge, his eyebrows raised. "We don't have to talk about that," said Diarmuid. "Oh, nonsense." --- Pre-Canon. Ciarán likes to tell stories about Diarmuid's childhood at the monastery. Diarmuid wishes he wouldn't tell them to a certain someone.
