Fics like Peedee Fryman and the Hero's Gem

If you asked Peedee Fryman who he was prior to July of 2013, he'd say that he was just your average kid. He led a steady life - balancing school, the family business, and personal interests. But that was before The Invasion. Gem aliens from outer space had invaded his comfy beach-side town and destroyed everything. Peedee's best friend Steven, a half Gem, along with his rebel Gem protectors tried to fight back the invaders. But it was in vain. The Powerpuff Girls had to get involved. Many heroes, including Steven, sacrificed themselves on that day. After the dust had settled, the residents of Beach City tried to move on and rebuild. Peedee's family was in the midst of doing such a thing when suddenly a life-changing letter arrived in his mailbox. It was from the headmaster of an elite vigilante training school for teens. Peedee saw this as a crucial opportunity. An opportunity to change direction. An opportunity to make his father proud. An opportunity to be just like his friend Steven. Follow Peedee, and the misfit friends he makes along the way, as they navigate their awkward and arduous lives at Utonium's School for Gifted Children.
