Fics like We’re Not There Yet (Or Maybe We Are)

When Peter gets beat up at school, he knows exactly where his support system is and heads straight for it. A whumpy hurt/comfort fic for Whumptober 2023. OR He doesn’t think he’s hurt badly enough to need to go to the Med Bay, but a first aid kit would be nice. Mr. Stark has one in his lab for lab accidents. If he can make his way to the tower he can use that. He doesn’t want to go because he wants Mr. Stark to hug him and tell him everything will be ok… definitely not. He and Mr. Stark have never hugged before. Well, there was the one time after Germany when Peter had mistaken Mr. Stark reaching across him to open the door as a hug. The man had told him, “Not a hug, I’m just opening the door. We’re not there yet.” Peter is his intern, and a junior Avenger in training. There will be no ‘there yet’ because interns and Avengers don’t get comforted like that. To get a hug he’ll have to wait until five the next morning when May gets off her shift at the hospital. It’s fine, Peter thinks to himself. I’m not going there for a hug, I just need a first aid kit.
