Fics like Far too little too late

Evan “Buck” Buckley fought for his family. He fought to get back to them and now that he’s back his family won’t even look at him without disdain anymore. Buck had dropped the lawsuit and his family won’t forgive him for suing them. Originally Buck thought it’d blow over but after 2 months he’s lost hope for things going back to normal. Then his call back to action from the Navy comes and he doesn’t fight it. Aka: Buck is tired of fighting for the family that no longer wants him. Its set during the post Lawsuit era and its a story about of Buck was a Naval aviator and he gets called back for the suicide mission from Top Gun: Maverick.
