Fics like Tambourines are for Tom Toms.

“Hey Toralei, quick! Join in on this!” Finns nasally voice rang out, and before she knew it, he was asking the dreaded question, “Wait? What instrument do you play?” She felt a hot blush spread across her face, and very reluctantly raised her tail. Her beloved Tambourine cradled in its grip. She braced herself, grabbing her Tambourine and clenching it tightly. Pressed protectively to her chest. Toralei knew what followed. The laughing. The comments. The humiliation. Her mothers words floated through her ears against her will. ‘Tambourines are for Tom Toms’. Immediately her mind took her back. To the moment all her hesitation to reveal her secret passion began. It was not a good memory. Not in the slightest.
