Fics like Convalescence

No one else is looking at the screen when the newscaster announces the discovery of facilities in Niflheim before the screen is filled with the image of a hundred identical people walking tentatively out into the sunlight. Noctis huffs behind him, mutters, “It’s always Niflheim.” “Gods,” Prompto whispers before he can stop himself. His voice is rough, almost wet—he doesn’t understand what’s going on. Prompto doesn’t know if it’s what he says, or maybe something on the television finally catches the attention of his boyfriends but all at once, they react too. Gladio swears, two then three times in a row, and Prompto gets it, wishing he was less frozen, so he could join in too. Alternatively: Prompto finds out he’s a clone at the exact same moment as the rest of the world.
