Fics like Goddamn 'Lake Flu'

Sicktember Day 30- Patient Zero ‘Lake flu’. The first time Jack hears it, uttered by Principal Durbin during the morning announcement, he thinks maybe it’s some kind of odd metaphor for school pride- soon to number among ‘catching the bug’ or getting ‘Whitlock Fever’ as gross, but strangely accurate, ways of modelling Toledo’s tendency to blow every small thing out of proportion. Durbin’s expression, though, tells a different story. As do the rest of the students’ in the AP bio classroom. “Lake flu?” Jack murmurs, turning the TV off and leaning back in his chair. “What the hell is ‘lake flu’?” At least five people shudder.
