Fics like Neither a Parent nor a Guardian

Tony is many things to Peter- childhood hero, superhero mentor, unacknowledged father-figure, somehow turned family friend. The trouble is that none of these titles have much weight in the Real World. Tony can do a whole lot to protect Peter when he's in the Spider-Man suit, not so much when he gets accused of cheating at school when May is stuck at work and asks Tony to step in.
