"But I never get the words right, 'cause I dot my t's and I cross my i's..." Rae Morningstar has had his life ripped apart by music, musicians and the record industry. From the collapse of his family, to the brutal fallout of his last relationship, the worn out librarian wants nothing more than to keep his head down in a small town, and stay away from musicians... That is, until a charming small band in need of a vocalist find him singing to himself as they stop by to make copies of their flyers. Dragged into a world of bass, beats and bright lights he tried his best to leave behind, Rae takes to the stage with The Starkillers in one last chance to sing his heart out, drag his life out of the gutter, and make music for himself, before it all comes crashing down again...
