Fics like Squeeze and Please

Even though blinded by stage lights, Elwood always knew where you were. He always knew where you were in the audience, his eyes constantly drawn to you. Usually, you were right by the stage, in front of him, singing along with every word he and Jake sang, though you only ever had eyes for Elwood. Tonight, though, it took Elwood a while to find you. After the first two songs, he began to worry, but then, finally, he saw you off to the side, seated at a table tucked off in a little nook. He had to stand in a specific spot on stage to see you at all, so you were hidden from view from everyone else. Elwood frowned a bit, half paying attention to what Jake was saying, getting ready for the next song. Why had you decided to sit there? Were you not feeling well? He always liked watching you dance, but… You seemed fine before the show. So, what was the deal?
