Fics like Under-City Angel

Jimmy had never thought he’d have a boyfriend in the over-city. So once in a while, he'd find himself stumbling over the fact all over again. That, yes, he did have a boyfriend. And his boyfriend was wonderful. Scott was somewhat rough around the edges. He could be harsh in both his honesty and his humor. But he was sensitive and patient, and honestly? Jimmy knew he was being selfish. Scott clearly wanted more from them, but that was beyond their reach, thanks to the column of feathers bound tight beneath his shirt. The aches and pains he suffered just to earn himself a few more hours in love. When Scott pushes a little further, he's not upset. He's happy. But there's just no way. He can't risk it. No matter how desperately he wishes to believe, he's terrified that even if Scott were falling in love with him, he'd hate his wings. And Jimmy wasn't sure if he could take that. But he knew, in torn-up, half-formed anxieties, that he'd have to show Scott eventually. {In which Jimmy can't stand not knowing, Scott can't stand not feeling, Pearl and Grian just want their little cousin to stop stressing, and maybe, just maybe, golden feathers aren't a dealbreaker after all.}
