Fics like The Future Looks Grim

Jisung finally moves to sit up, facing Minho with the most intense scrutiny he thinks he’s ever been under. Deserved scrutiny, he reminds himself. He just asked Jisung for his best friend’s soul. “You’ll be nice to him?” Jisung hiccups, holding Minho’s gaze in his, even while the Grim Reaper silently nods. “He’ll be safe?” “Always.” “Will you tell him I love him, and that I’m sorry?” Minho’s heart threatens to jump in his throat, but he still nods anyway, “of course.” ----- OR: Jisung is a mortal who has just suffered a terrible loss, refusing to believe it’s all truly over. Minho has been the Grim Reaper for the past 300 years helping troubled souls officially ‘move on,’ but is now facing the end of the time given to him to complete the fated love clause required in his work contract. What happens when Jisung refuses to let the dead stay dead, and Minho has a hard time saying no? Probably a lot of talk about souls and lesser demons. A story of love and loss and friendship, set under the red-tinged sky of the underworld.
