Fics like gravedigger

It’s never been settled. It hangs like bait between them both, unspoken of, and eyed intently after heats and Top Gun class reunions. Maverick doesn’t plan on addressing it. He’s the highest-ranked omega in the fucking fleet, which isn’t saying much, but it’s true and he got there by himself – not because of Ice. He’s never pictured a life with an alpha factored into the equation, it was his experience that they usually ruined it. So he buries the desire and ignores its constant howling. Then he gets sick. Then it turns out he’s fucking pregnant. (Or an angsty Icemav A/B/O fic.)
