Fics like fell in love with the fire long ago (let it blaze alright)

Nancy takes stock of how she’s feeling, and yes, beneath the desire and the love and the crushing hope there is still a current of fear running through her. One that won’t go away until they know for sure. “Yeah,” she responds honestly, “but I’ve never let that stop me from finding the truth so…” kiss me, she thinks, but he’s just watching her, eyes darting over her face, taking her in, and she can’t wait any longer actually so- “Kiss me,” Nancy says breathlessly, already bringing her hands up to draw his face down to hers. Ace goes willingly, so willingly. * * * Or; Ace and Nancy finally solve a key piece of their mystery. Set during/after 4x13. An imagined beginning to their relationship.
