Fics like An Ocean of Stars

Weiss wanted to make something of herself, to make her family name mean something, anything good again. So she'd followed her sister and joined the Federation's military division. What should have been a routine salvage mission takes a strange turn when she suddenly finds herself stranded in an unexplored part of the galaxy on a strange planet. She's determined to get home no matter what, but is that what she truly wants? On her way to the answer she'll unravel secrets eons old that will lead her on an adventure no one could have predicted.
