Fics like The Nanyin Sword

Dying is a lot more difficult when your life isn't the only one hanging in the balance. Li Lianhua was just minding his own business and preparing quietly to die, when he is kidnapped from his boat and brought to an altar. There, a mysterious figure offers him a single choice: Find it. Find your sword. Or see everyone you've ever met, everything you ever held dear, follow you into your grave. Li Lianhua has no choice to seek his old friends' help, after months of having disappeared from them. Together, they have to team up to find out who was behind Li Lianhua's capture, and what exactly they want from him. Along the way, he will discover what it really means to be the prince of a long lost kingdom. And hopefully... strive to live a little longer.
