Fics like Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream (Then tell him that his lonely nights are over)

There's an all-glass cage in the center of the basement, practically a bubble held up above an intricate runic circle on the floor by an iron frame and thick chains. But that's not what really got Harry's attention, oh no. There is a man inside the glass globe, sitting naked and motionless in the center with his legs hugged to his chest, and the only thing Harry can see of him other than pale white skin is the bush of black hair almost as or more messed up than his own. Going to the cage is like being pulled by a magnet, and Harry's hand moves almost by itself to press against the glass. The man looks up, locking eyes with Harry, and slowly unrolls to his feet, all the while looking Harry in the eyes with irises as black as the space between the stars with a single tiny point of light in the pupil. And then... And then he reaches out, placing his own palm flush with Harry's against the glass, and presses back. ••• For eighty-one years, Morpheus rotted in a glass cage in Roderick Burgess's basement, with no hope of escape now that Jessamy was dead. At least not until his big sister's favorite accidentally finds him.
