Fics like for the sake of necessity

There is a dull thud that resounds the moment the survivor hits the floor. Battered and bruised, albeit unmoving, riddled with exhaustion not wrought from Philippe himself. To their side is a series of gashes, ones bound to be fatal if not for the intervention of another hunter picking them up again to set them free. Not for mercy or any kind-hearted means, no, that was more akin to perhaps something Michiko would do. This was an act of sadism. Joy. Excitement. The match had gone on for far too long already without a singular elimination, albeit, hardly any ciphers worked on either. Matches like these vexed him for a specific reason – the prolonging of the slaughter, the almost-palpable whimsy the other hunter had in forcing his stock to beg. Ah. He was with Jack again, wasn’t he? An artist must be good with his hands, but prepared to use other tools with just as much prowess. That is the backbone of their craft - Philippe knows to expect as much from Jack.
