The guy is talking to him, but the words are very touch and go as they pass through the ringing in Dean’s ears. Dean stares at him, missing all the finer details of the scene but at least making out the important part. “Fuck, you’re hot,” Dean manages and promptly blacks out. This fic is aligned with my personal headcanon that Stanford Era!Dean would fall head over heels for the first soul to come along and show him the bare bones of compassion. Enter scene: Castiel.
